Weird "Paste" modal when clicking in browser

Got this weird error that's driving me nuts. Every time I left-click on anything inside Toddle, I immediately get this little Paste dialog that pops up. I then have to click away a second time to dismiss, so basically the UI is unusable.

It's in Safari, Orion (also Webkit), and Firefox, but not Chrome. So it's not a single browser setting, thought it might be a system level thing or some plugin I have, but it is absolutely driving me batty.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas where I might look to troubleshoot? Screencaps from each browser attached.

Same is happening to me in Zen (Firefox) for last 4-5 days, not constantly but it's really painful. Every mouse click or tab click for confirming something pops up that paste modal and draws focus from the toddle editor. You can see that happening in my previous bug submittion undefined

Yeah it’s super painful! I can get by with Chrome for now πŸ‘ŽπŸΌ but definitely seems like new behavior. So glad I’m not alone

Im taking a look at this. My findings so far are this:
    - It happens when a non-component is selected and the clipboard is either empty or contains something "non"-toddle related.

A way to get it to go away temporarily is to copy an element within toddle. No need to paste it but just to override the clipboard with something toddle related. It will be back when you copy something else though. But might help reduce the frustration while i fix it πŸ™‚

Interesting, thanks for the tip to get around it, I've just tried and it works.

The only thing that still doesn't work even if something toddle related is copied is when entering a value somewhere in style tab and pressing tab to confirm it and move to the another input, no matter what is in the clipboard, that annoying paste popup appears and takes over focus.

This should be fixed now πŸ™‚ Sorry for that inconvenience. The problem was actually how Firefox has implemented the clipboard API. If reading the clipboard and the content there is from a different domain it will show that Paste modal. Also the usage of the API has to be inside user gesture event handlers. So we learned a thing or 2 about that API in FF today πŸ˜„ Hopefully you can work normally again 🀞
