I am using someone's domain and they already had a certificate they got, both of these are at Namecheap.

I added the TXT record and Toddle says its complete but it doesn't work.

    How do I fix this?

Hey Bishop, I had the same issue using Namecheap also, try using an ALIAS record instead of the CNAME, Namecheap advised that and it worked for me

For most DNS providers you just need to specify the subdomain (www) part.

I just looked it up on hour end. It looks like the CNAME is correct, but the TXT record is not. Did you make sure to remove the last part of the domain from the TXT record string?

    IT should most likely be:
    _acme-challenge.www.
    instead of
    _acme-challenge.www.authorwizard.ai

    It finally works. Thanks.

Now how do I get it to answer for 'authorwizard.ai' and not just 'www.authorwizard.ai'

  • It is still uploading so you might have to wait a few minutes
