How to retrieve results of custom action

Hello, I can't get any information about a custom action. When my page loads, I launch the execution of my action, but I don't understand the logic that would allow me to retrieve the result of the execution of my action. It seems like a very simple thing to do but I can't get to the bottom of it. If anyone has any ideas or “simple” resources. Many thanks in advance.

I don't use custom actions a lot but if you want the output, you will need an event to send back the data and use it. See https://docs.nordcraft.com I know some other toddle-hero 's and @NoCode ProCode are more au fait with custom actions.

Also, it looks like you could probably do most of this using formulas and variables instead of using a custom action.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

I had looked at the documentation but it does not apply for my case or in any case I cannot transpose it to my needs.

I had also looked at the formulas but it seems complex to me to set up whereas with the little piece of JavaScript code it seems very simple to me.

The goal is to calculate the date of the next Saturday, next Friday and next Sunday.

I really need to crack the use of its actions 😅

I had in mind to start if not with something very simple like a custom action that makes it possible to make a calculation of the genre add two to the number in argument. Just to understand how it works. Unfortunately, I don't have any code skills🥴

Hi! You used an action, but what you need in your case is a formula. I created a quick demo for you:

This has a global formula "getNextWeekday" that has one input "dayIndex". If you provide an index, it will give you the date for this weekday. The indexes are JS standard: Sunday = 0, Monday = 1... Friday = 5, Saturday = 6

Thank you very much for your feedback, indeed I had missed the fact that we could convert our formulas to JavaScript!!!!

I was able to copy and paste the code snippet, and then work directly on the logic in full No-Code with the data obtained.

I'm going to explore the videos and keep trying to improve. Many thanks to you all.
