Once the TXT record was detected, the values under step 2. became undefined, and it's unclear what I'm supposed to do next. The domain is not working so I assume I'm missing another step.

got it working. FYI for anyone else w/ namecheap: the name (or host) value for CNAME needed to be @ not "slashsix.app" for namecheap. and the "_acme-challenge.slashsix.app" name (or host) value for TXT needed to be just _achme-challenge for namecheap.
