Authentication extensions not working?
I have a couple screenshots of "cookie failure " in Firefox (downloaded for auth testing since Chrome ext . was having auth issues ) . For Firefox , the extension shows the toddle .dev and toddle .site being configured . For the Chrome examples of cookie failure , the extension only shows toddle .site being configured to allow cookies . Also , the Chrome extension in the toolbar is enabled (shows toddle colors in icon ) when I do preview and it is disabled (shows a grey toddle icon in the toolbar ) when I am in toddle .dev . I can continue to develop /test using the preview , but thought I would share what I am seeing in case others are seeing this or there is something I am doing wrong (most likely ) . Thanks ! @the_sms - I ’m not 100 % up on the ins and outs of auth but I do know I was having issues a wee while back . Did you install the extension before authenticating for the first time or after ? I found I ran into problems with this because I had authenticated my app before setting up the extension , which was conflicting with cookies already set (I think ) . Solution was to clear all cookies for toddle .site and re -authenticate . Never been a problem after that . Although you do need to authenticate in preview first to be authenticated in the editor I believe . Someone from the toddle crew might have better advice . If that ’s not it , a wee Loom demo would be good ! 👍🏻 I think that 's right , @the_sms . Don 't quote me on that but I know I do have to authenticate via preview for the editor to be authenticated as well . You can still authenticate in the editor but as soon as you refresh it clears that out I think . Alternatively (if you 're comfy with it ) , depending on what data you 're working with , you can set up a read -only table temporarily if you just need to test working with the data without having to auth every time . But , if it 's dependant on auth or you feel happier doing so , login via preview . 👍1Open up a preview , login , then refresh your editor New extension will be coming later on
