I've seen it mentioned by the WeWeb folks that Airtable causes problems as a backend. Probably for several reasons. But, primarily, because Airtable doesn't store images in a way that they can safely/consistently be accessed through the Airtable API. I can't remember, but I think it had something with not having static file URLs. Anyhow, I assume this problem would be the same if you swap in Toddle for WeWeb.

I'm guessing there are folks here using Toddle with Airtable as a backend that have found a workaround for the file storage issue. Care to share?

I know that there are folks here who have also stated that Airtable is not a good backend, not because of images, but primarily because its API and security are just not designed for it at all
  • The API response times also seemed very slow
  • Have never used it myself, just from what others have founds in their attempts to use it
  • It seems like they always end up moving to a proper backend unless it’s a small for fun project
